ZURU Brings XSHOT to Comic Con Johannesburg 2025

Get ready to lock, load, and level up your Comic Con experience. This year, ZURU’s XSHOT is bringing the most epic blaster experience in partnership with Blaster Wars to the event with four high-energy target zones, brand-new blasters, and a grand prize that will make you the envy of every fan.

From 28–31 August 2025, the Toys R Us KidsCon zone will transform into an adrenaline-fueled arena where fans can put their skills to the test with the latest XSHOT innovations.

The exclusive XSHOT activation will include four target ranges especially curated for Comic Con each with its own theme, from the Gel Series, Skins Series, Insanity Series to the legendary Pro Series, choose your favourite or try them all.

Alongside the blasters, the Toys R Us area will also feature the latest in collectibles including Snackles, MAX Build More capsules, 5 Surprise, Mini Brands, and the quirky cult-favourite Fugglers, making it a must-stop destination for kids, collectors, and pop culture fans.

Comic Con Africa is the continent’s biggest pop culture and gaming festival, drawing over 80,000 fans annually and uniting communities across comics, gaming, cosplay, movies, and more. It’s the perfect backdrop for XSHOT, one of the world’s fastest-growing blaster brands with over 150 million blasters sold globally and a fast-expanding fan base in South Africa.

Ambrose explains that there is one grand prize to be won in partnership with Blaster Wars. “Blaster Wars SA is a fully immersive experience where high-tech blasters, intense battles and strategic thrills come together for birthday parties, events and team building,” he adds. “The grand prize winner will win an Ultimate Blaster Wars birthday party for 10 people worth thousands.”
