Newcomer Hanna Malan releases Afrikaans Single 'Alle Paaie' all the way from Europe

Hanna Malan is a South African singer-songwriter and music producer currently living in Europe.Hanna’s music can be described as gentle poetic folk meets synth-pop, with a strong focus on storytelling.
Originally from a farm in the rural Free State, Hanna’s curiosity, sense of adventure and longing to travel the world led her to move to Copenhagen, Denmark in 2019.Like the artist herself, her music finds itself between two worlds; deeply rooted in intimate acoustic soundscapes and infused with shimmering synth lines inspired by her Scandinavian surroundings.
Her new Afrikaans single Alle Paaie features uplifting vocals layered over dazzling synths with a pop melody that fires you into a road trip daydream.
In Alle Paaie, she lyrically explores the theme of leaving comfort zones both physically and mentally and setting off to new unknown places.The fun, light-hearted chorus embraces the realization that our adventures are not so much about the destination, as it is about the people we share the journey with.
For most of her life, Hanna considered her passion for music and songwriting a private escape. When the global pandemic hit in early 2020, the sudden isolation brought about a shift in that she decided to start recording and releasing her music.
Being in quarantine also afforded her the time and space to take up music production to fulfill the dream of giving life to her songs.Since then she’s been producing and recording her records from her small city apartment.
Hanna is currently in the process of recording her upcoming EP with South African music producer and engineer Gideon Botes. Gideon also co-produced, mixed and mastered Alle Paaie.
Alle Paaie is out on all digital platforms on the 28th of May 2021.
