Folk Rock artist Charlie Harris Releases New Single ‘There’s A Place’ - Celebrating the Joy of Daydreams

Singer-songwriter Charlie Harris, known for his heartfelt storytelling and folk-rock fusion, is back with a brand-new single that captures the essence of daydreaming and nostalgia. The song, a vibrant and uplifting track, explores the simple pleasure of imagining happy places, cherished moments, and the excitement of experiences yet to come.
This latest release marks a significant milestone in Charlie’s musical journey, as it is the first song recorded with his full band, Keep Guessing Charlie, featuring longtime collaborator and drummer Shaun Ruysenaar and bassist Andre Feldmann. Their collective energy brings a fresh dynamic to Charlie’s signature sound, blending intimate acoustic tones with the raw edge of rock.
Charlie’s musical roots trace back to his childhood in Johannesburg, where he was first inspired by his uncle playing guitar and drums.
At 13, he received his first guitar as a birthday gift, setting him on a path of songwriting and self-expression. Though initially held back by shyness, Charlie gradually overcame his fears through open mic nights, where the encouragement of fellow musicians fuelled his artistic growth.
His journey has taken him through various musical incarnations, from his early bands Hemisphere and Radio Unfriendly to the formation of Keep Guessing, a project that truly reflects his artistic evolution. The band’s name was born out of the unpredictability of the creative process, a sentiment that resonates in their music.
Charlie Harris has already made waves with his two albums, Digital Dust – Side A and Digital Dust – Side B, and his new single is just the beginning of a series of releases set for 2025. With this track, he invites listeners to embrace the power of imagination, reliving fond memories or dreaming of future adventures.
