Sun International Appoints A New Chief Operating Officer For Hospitality And Sales

CEO Ulrik Bengtsson welcomes Nomzamo Radebe to the role
Sun International’s Chief Executive Officer, Ulrik Bengtsson, announced earlier that the group has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer for Hospitality and Sales.
Nomzamo Radebe will step into the role from 2 February.
Bengtsson noted, “this marks another exciting step in our progression as we continue to build Sun International’s world class capabilities which includes taking a fresh perspective on our business, and pursuing our ambition to become a digitally led, market leading, omnichannel gaming company of scale. We are confident that Nomzamo will play a pivotal role in bringing new insights to our hospitality and property businesses.”
Radebe, a chartered accountant, has over 27 years of experience as a property executive in the real estate sector, with 20 of those years being spent in senior leadership roles. Her impressive resume includes being the Chief Operating Officer at SA Corporate Real Estate Ltd along with being CEO of Excellerate JHI. She also served as the Chief Investment Officer and Financial Director at Pareto Limited was a Director at National Treasury.
She is a board member at The South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) and has been lauded with several industry honours, including the Five Star Woman Award and The Institute of People Management (IPM) Business Leader of the Year.
The depth of Radebe’s experience in property asset management and portfolio optimisation includes leading high-performing teams managing property portfolios valued at over R10 billion, along with driving strategic growth, assessing risk management and ensuring regulatory compliance. She brings extensive experience in property redevelopment, business repositioning and digital transformation.
Along with the depth of her real estate sector experience, Radebe’s strategic focus areas have included mergers and acquisitions, treasury management and stakeholder engagement.
With her reputation as an astute business leader to back her, Radebe has earned respect for her strategic insight, industry influence, and ability to inspire and engage people at all levels, “I am excited to join such a strong brand like Sun International. I look forward to interacting with the various teams to drive performance and deliver on our business strategies and value creation plans in the hospitality division”.
