Campaign benefits Kgothalang Primary School, ensuring dignity in the classroom
Carnival City successfully concluded its Sanitary Drive at Kgothalang Primary School in Wattville, in support of the Empower Her Dignity campaign, a Women’s Month initiative dedicated to uplifting and empowering underprivileged women and girls through access to essential menstrual hygiene products.
“It was about more than just donations, it was about restoring dignity and confidence to young women and girls who often face challenges many of us take for granted,” said Carnival City’s project leader Mduduzi Madonsela. “I am incredibly proud of Carnival City employees for embracing this initiative with such compassion. Their support shows the power of unity and empathy in driving positive change.”
Assistant teacher Philile Mbendeni expressed her gratitude, saying she was delighted by the visit from the Carnival City team and deeply appreciated the thoughtful gesture extended to the learners.
The month-long drive encouraged employees to donate sanitary pads and other hygiene essentials. Thanks to their generosity, more than 170 packs of sanitary products were collected and distributed to approximately 150 learners at the school.
The Sanitary Drive 2025 – Empower Her Dignity forms part of Carnival City’s ongoing commitment to community upliftment, social responsibility, and women empowerment. Through collective action, the initiative made a meaningful impact, ensuring that more young women can face each day with dignity, confidence, and hope.
