James Blunt to perform in SA

The British singer will be performing three shows in South Africa in May. The shows kick off at The Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on the 24th of May, before heading to the Botanic Gardens in Durban on the 26th and concluding at The Grand Arena at Grand West Casino in Cape Town on the 28th of May.“James Blunt is incredibly popular among our listeners and his songs are always requested on our playlist,” said 94.7 station manager Ravi Naidoo.“Fans and critics alike have described Blunt as a ‘fearless performer who consistently pushes his music to the edge’ and his concert is guaranteed to be an absolute showstopper.”Blunt, who comes to South Africa following a string of dates in the UK, US, Europe, China and Japan, was quoted saying “Touring is the most fun you can possibly have. Being able to perform live with my band is such a great thrill”.In the three years since Blunt released his debut album, ‘Back to Bedlam’ it has sold 11 million copies worldwide.
