Nuy Winery Launches Refreshing Mimosa In A Can For Easy Outdoor Enjoyment
Few drinks capture the relaxed spirit of social gatherings quite like a mimosa, and Nuy Winery has introduced a new way to enjoy it. The winery’s first canned beverage, the Nuy Mimosa Orange Sparkling Spritzer, brings a fresh and convenient twist to this classic favourite.
Designed for South Africa’s easy-going outdoor lifestyle, the spritzer offers a light and lively drinking experience with 5% alcohol. It combines sparkling white wine with orange juice, delivering a bright, citrus-forward profile without any added sugar.
A Convenient Take On A Growing Trend
According to AC Goodger, Marketing Manager at Nuy Winery, the product was inspired by the growing popularity of mimosas beyond traditional brunch occasions.
“We’re seeing mimosa gaining popularity at all times of the day. That inspired us to create something convenient and enjoyable — a mimosa in a can that’s perfect for a braai, picnics, or any outdoor occasion,” he says.
The ready-to-drink format makes it easy to take along, whether packed into a cooler bag or enjoyed on the go.
Quality Ingredients At The Core
The Nuy Mimosa stands out for its focus on natural ingredients. It is made using 100% orange juice concentrate, with no added flavourings, colourants, or extra sugar.
This results in a crisp, refreshing taste that mirrors freshly squeezed orange juice, complemented by fine bubbles from Nuy’s Sauvignon Blanc-based sparkling wine, produced in the Breede River Valley.
A Design Inspired By Local Creativity
The can design reflects a strong sense of place and artistry. The orange illustrations were created by De Doorns-based artist Hildegard Reyneke, using pencil and watercolour to bring a distinctive, handcrafted feel to the packaging.
Simple And Stylish Serving Options
The Nuy Mimosa can be enjoyed chilled straight from the can for convenience, or poured into a glass with a slice of orange or a sprig of rosemary for an elevated yet effortless presentation.

The Nuy Mimosa Orange Sparkling Spritzer is available at R25 per can or R100 for a four-pack. It can be purchased online via the following link:https://nuywinery.co.za/product/mimosaorangesparkling/
