We are delighted to announce JAN Franschhoek Season V - a fabulous fifth year of the most beautiful food and wine experience, presented with Franschhoek flair and hosted in a charming historic cottage in the picturesque lavender fields of La Motte. Whether you are still waiting for an opportunity to take a seat at the fantastic 18-seater table in the quaint 18th-century Veepos or can’t wait to return to the exceptional allure of the JAN Franschhoek experience, now is the time to make a reservation!
Season V experience
For JAN Franschhoek Season V, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen’s innovative expression of the South African family table will once again be a nostalgic journey inspired by global culinary trends. Patrons can expect menus that are proudly local, allowing room for something mysterious and glamorous. Enjoy a re-imagination of family traditions and regional favourites through seasonal themes and the brilliance of beautifully paired food and wine.
Acclaimed for its warm Cape Winelands hospitality in its extensive hospitality offering, La Motte invites you to experience JAN Franschhoek Season V. It promises to be a journey through food and wine that will have you reminisce and explore at the same time.
Opening dates and reservations
JAN Franschhoek Season V opens on 4 September 2026. JAN Franschhoek will be open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, from 4 September 2026 until 30 April 2027. The experience starts with a welcome in the La Motte Manor House at 18:30 and dinner begins promptly at 19:00.
On Sundays, the Jan Franschhoek food and wine experience is in the form of an extended lunch. Commencing at 12:30, guests are welcomed in the La Motte Manor House from 12:00. Reservations for September and October open on Dineplan on 20 July 2026, while the remainder of the reservations will open on 1 September 2026. The food and wine experience costs R3550 per person.
