Kryolan brand ambassador search winners announced!

Johannesburg, December 2021 – In September 2021, international make-up brand Kryolan SA launched the 2022 #KryolanColourAddict Brand Ambassador search. The competition called on local artists, proficient in various creative mediums, to share their work based on one of five themes. Based on these themes, the artists created unique looks, each in their medium of choice – from beauty looks to special effects make-up or a body painting masterpiece. Following an overwhelming response and tight competition, winners have now been announced.
The five competition themes were: Under the African Sky, In the Cosmos, All that Glitters aint always Gold, Under the Sea and King/Queen of Colour. Starting with a top 30, five contestants were eliminated in each round, eventually leaving the top five to compete, all of whom have now been named Ambassadors.
Winners were chosen based on public consensus, with social media users voting for their favourites on Kryolan’s online channels, using the hashtag #KryolanColourAddict, while Kryolan SA monitored the contestants’ creative skills, checking for clean lines, immaculate blending, creative conceptualisation and overall execution of each look.
Each winner will act as a Kryolan Brand Ambassador for one full year, receiving a custom Kryolan make-up kit, with the value increasing incrementally according to their position in the competition, product drops, gifts and event invitations. The winner of the top spot also receives an all-expenses paid three-day visit to the Kryolan SA head office in Johannesburg, to experience a unique behind-the-scenes look at the global brand in action.
Congratulations to the winners:
Chantell Kock, the first-place winner, receives a 12-month ambassadorship, a custom kit to the value of R15 000, as well as additional product drops, gifts, brand support and VIP event invitations. Chantell will also enjoy a three-day experience at the Kryolan head office, and will take part in a Kryolan SA professional photo shoot.
First runner up, Boiketlo Mokoena will receive a R10 000 custom kit, product drops, gifts, brand support and VIP event invitations, and will take part in a Kryolan SA professional photo shoot.
Liona Lochner, Mariska van den Berg and Chili Perkes, winning third, fourth and fifth prize respectively, each receive a R7500 custom kit, product drops, gifts, brand support, and VIP event invitations.
According to Cuan Kemp, Head of Make-up and Marketing & Social Media Manager for Kryolan SA, the company received an unprecedented response for the #KryolanColourAddict ambassador search. Cuan comments: “We were blown away with the responses we received (over 150 applications), so getting these applications down to our top 30 competitors was a real task for our global team, who voted for their favourites. After five intense rounds, the public finally chose their top five, without any involvement/input from Kryolan SA. Just another way we try to listen and give our followers exactly what they want – real, relatable people, representing our brand authentically and honestly.”
Ends.
