Plettenberg Bay Arts Association Donates R21,000 to Hospice Plett

The Plettenberg Bay Arts Association (PAA) has proudly donated R21,000 to Hospice Plett, following the success of its Brush Strokes and Beyond exhibition held during the recent Plett Arts Festival.
A total of 42 artworks were sold during the exhibition, with proceeds and raffle ticket sales contributing directly to the donation. The cheque handover took place at the Hospice Plett Charity Shop, attended by Hospice representatives Cecily van Heerden, Russel Braun, and Philippa Sauvenier, alongside members of the Plett Arts Association.
“Everyone has had a meaningful encounter with Hospice in some way,” said Jill Forbes, Chairperson of the Plettenberg Bay Arts Association. “It was an honour to dedicate this year’s exhibition to supporting their life-changing work. This donation is a celebration of community spirit and generosity.”
Lady Annabelle Conyngham, Chair of Hospice Plett, expressed her gratitude in a personal message:“What an achievement. My heartfelt thanks to you and your team for this remarkable contribution - made all the more special by the joy and enthusiasm with which it was raised.”
The Arts Association extends sincere thanks to Plett Tourism for their ongoing support, local businesses for prize donations, and every artist and visitor who helped make the event a success.The PAA continues its mission to foster creativity and connection through local exhibitions, workshops, and community initiatives that celebrate Plettenberg Bay’s vibrant creative spirit.
