PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA, Tuesday, 27 October 2026— As business models evolve and audience expectations shift, every business faces an undeniable reality: traditional high-pressure pitching no longer works. To help them overcome challenges, speaker, trainer, and business analyst Marriet Visser will share her “Game Changing Tactics” model at the Pretoria Chapter meeting of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (PSASA) on Thursday, 29 October 2026.

Open to both PSASA members and the general public upon registration, the event offers insights from this seasoned expert to deliver actionable strategies on modern sales outreach that builds connection rather than pushes for a sale.

"Bold Calling" versus Cold Calling with Marriet Visser

Kicking off the evening, speaker, business analyst, and sales strategist Marriet Visser will challenge the traditional approach to sales outreach. Drawing on her 30+ years of cold marketing experience and an impressive 22% average conversion rate, Visser advocates for shifting from desperate sales pitches to relationship-first "Bold Calling".

"Cold calling fails when it's driven by desperate energy or target-chasing, leaving prospects feeling like targets rather than valued people," explains Visser. "Bold Calling changes the mindset entirely. You aren't interrupting someone to force an immediate sale; you are making intentional contact to find the person who is actively looking for your specific solution. When you focus on solving their problem rather than serving your ego or pocket, every conversation becomes an opportunity to build trust and plant seeds for long-term growth."

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Replace Fear with Purpose: Build confidence by ditching scripted, pushy sales tactics in favor of structured, authentic conversations.

  • Identify Ideal Prospects: Locate and research high-value clients who genuinely need your products or services.

  • Navigate the Funnel: Manage objections smoothly, move past the pressure of needing an immediate "yes," and position outreach as a win-win relationship.

As a conclusion to the evening, executive coach and former financial industry leader Pieter Roos will present "The Ultimate Reset"—a timely exploration into aligning digital investments, governance, and strategy execution with leadership priorities.

Drawing inspiration from his professional background in corporate boardrooms as well as his recent journey to the heights of the Himalayas, Roos will share fresh, high-altitude insights on how mid-career professionals and thought leaders can rethink their perspectives on time, change, and artificial intelligence to unlock real strategic value.
