HAW appointed Master Distributor of OMT

Hydraulic and Automation Warehouse (HAW), part of the Hytec Group of Companies, was recently appointed as the Master Distributor of OMT’s complete product range to South and sub-Saharan Africa. OMT is an Italian-based hydraulic equipment and systems supplier.

HAW, previously one of four authorised distributors, was awarded this Master Distributorship because of its rapid growth, target segments and extensive distribution network through the Hytec Group. Notably, HAW was also the highest selling distributor of OMT’s Luen product range out of the four distributors. Luen, part of the OMT Group, was previously available through HAW’s authorised distributorship agreement.

The OMT range includes: hydraulic filters (tank top mounted, spin-on and suction), components (bell housings and drive couplings) and accessories (level gauges, filler breathers and gauge isolators). The Luen range includes: inline pressure control valves, pressure relief, reducing, counter balance and over centre valves. Flow dividers, pilot check and flow control valves are also included in the range. These products are ideal for use in the region’s growing agricultural, mobile, transport and light-duty industrial applications.

The signing of the agreement took place between Roberto Baccelli (Export Sales Manager, OMT Sales Group) and Wynand Kellerman (General Manager, HAW) at HAW’s offices in Johannesburg. “OMT, and by extension Luen, is a quality product that is internationally renowned. Together, with our other quality brands that we import and stock, we are able to offer all our relevant market segments with a fit-for-purpose, solution at a competitive price,” remarks Kellerman.

HAW upholds OMT’s six- and 12-month warranties for the entire product range. OMT is available throughout South and sub-Saharan Africa through the Hytec Group’s extensive distribution network as well as through HAW’s branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Middelburg
