London, UK — 23rd October , 2026— Last night, we celebrated the winners of the 2026 GuestRevu GREAT Awards Europe, Americas & APAC in style at the L’oscar in London. This prestigious event showcased the best in the hospitality industry, celebrating excellence, innovation, and dedication to guest satisfaction.

Supported by GuestRevu, Cendyn, Stayntouch, happyhotel, HOSPA, FEDHASA, and Stenden University South Africa, the evening brought together leading hoteliers and top hotel tech providers. Far from a standard conference, it was an enjoyable celebration filled with vibrant, insightful conversations and dynamic industry networking.

During the event, guests were invited to discuss the technology versus hospitality dilemma in a panel moderated by Liutauras (LV) Vaitkevicius (Apex Alliance Hotel Management). Panellists Eljesa Saciri (The Mandrake), Julian Tee (Compass Hotels Management), and Patricia Gail (representing the well-travelled tech-agnostic guest) shared their perspectives as hoteliers and guests on when and how to integrate technology into the guest experience.

This spicy debate was followed by a GREAT Data Panel moderated by Jane Pendlebury of HOSPA, and featuring industry experts Dr Wouter Hensens (Stenden University), Chris Alexandre (GuestRevu), Erich Schuster (Cendyn), and John Halligan (Stayntouch). The panellists sparked dynamic conversations around guest satisfaction trends, online reputation management, and the implications of data-driven insights for the practical commercial realities facing modern hoteliers.

The GREAT Awards 2026

Unlike conventional accolades decided by judging panels, the GREAT Awards stand out by relying entirely on authentic guest feedback. Designed to highlight extraordinary hospitality, the awards recognise properties that deliver truly memorable stays, as proven by outstanding guest reviews.

This year, over 750 properties from 60 countries entered, and more than 85,000 reviews from Booking.com (53.8%  of the total), Google (31.9%), and Tripadvisor (14.3%) were analysed using the free version of GuestRevu’s award-winning reputation management product, GuestRevu LITE, to determine the winners. The properties on the shortlists achieved incredible guest review scores, with a median score over 89%, showing just how much effort they put into making every stay unforgettable.

Dr Wouter Hensens, Executive Dean at Stenden South Africa, oversaw the awards data analysis. His expertise helped ensure the process was fair and accurate.

The main highlights from the data analysed include:

  • The same hotel can have three different reputations on different platforms. In fact, 71% of the properties had a gap of more than five points between their highest and their lowest platform score;

  • A strong rating doesn’t always come with equally strong sentiment;

  • Monthly scores based on fewer reviews fluctuate far more dramatically than scores backed by larger review volumes
