Leading Africa media and broadcasting network, Career Indaba®, announces Strategic Advisory Board

Career Indaba®, Africa’ s leading media and broadcasting network dedicated to driving critical conversations that is uncovering actionable solutions to employment, skills development, and labour market challenges across industries, proudly announces the appointment of its Strategic Advisory Board, effective July 2025.
The newly constituted 20-member Advisory Board was formally inaugurated at its inaugural onboarding session held on 11th July 2025, jointly facilitated by the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
The Board will serve a pivotal role in steering Career Indaba’s strategic direction, thought leadership, strengthening governance frameworks and stakeholder engagement, policy positioning, innovation in labour market solutions, and partnership growth and supporting Career Indaba’s flagship initiatives, including the Career Indaba Expo & Bootcamp 12 & 13 September 2025, Career Indaba Radio, and digital media platforms over the next five years with a mandate to serve until June 2030.
With deep expertise across business, education, labour, policy, technology, and youth development, innovation, the Strategic Advisory Board is designed to elevate Career Indaba’s impact as a cross-sector and multistakeholder convenor driving the continent’s employment, skills development, and labour market solutions.
Meet the Advisory Board & Four Established Committees
To ensure focused oversight and delivery, the Advisory Board has established four strategic committees Chaired by Mr Robin Baloyi and Vice Chairperson Ms Khadija Dangor:
1. Labour, Employment & Skills Committee: Focuses on policy, labour market intelligence, skills development, and future of work trends. Prof. Njabulo Mkhize, Ms Jacqui Ford, Mr Matthew Parks, Mr Benjamin Xie & Mr Robin Baloyi.
2. Strategy, Finance & Audit Committee: Provides oversight on financial strategy, fundraising, governance compliance, and risk management. Ms Selelo Ramohlola, Mr Kabi Kolobe, Mr Basiami Disipi & Ms Khadija Dangor.
3. Youth, Entrepreneurship, Innovation & M&E CommitteeChampions youth-led initiatives, digital transformation, and monitors programme impact and results. Ms Soraya Seedat, Ms Boitumelo Malapile, Ms Mmakgosi Chaane-Pule & Ms Ntombifuthu Macheke
4. Strategic Partnerships, Programmes & Funding CommitteeDrives multi-sector partnerships, resource mobilisation, and alignment of programmes to national and continental agendas. Ms Hellen Dinawane, Ms Litha Tyali, Mr Isaac Dhludhlu, Mr Selebelo Selamolela, Ms Elizabeth Masoleng & Mr Phumlani Mfenyana.
