The Emsachse team led by CEO Mr Dirk Lüerßen met with Northlink’s business development unit to review progress on the bilateral skills development programme. Mr Henri Mafoumba, Manager: Business Development Unit, highlighted its long-term value, saying:
“This partnership is not just about international exposure; it is helping position Northlink College as an emerging global player in skills development and innovation. By connecting our students to EMSACHSE, we are unlocking real pathways to advanced training, global mobility and long-term career growth.”
Project manager: Ms Cristine Wekenborg delivered updates on the exchange programme’s roll-out, showcasing how it strengthens artisan readiness and enhances international alignment. Guided tours led by Mr Mark Corneilse, Northlink’s Wingfield Campus manager, Mr Troy Pascucci, manager: special projects and Mr Lebuhang Mosia, Wingfield Campus manager provided the delegation with insights into Northlink’s technical capabilities.
A highlight of the day was the student session with Mr Tshiamo Pule, currently completing his EMSACHSE placement in Germany, whose story of adapting to European industry standards resonated with apprentices exploring international pathways.
In closing the engagement, Ms Maria Schischkin encouraged students to apply, noting that several trade-tested apprentices had already begun their Emsachse applications.
