Namibia Announces Significant Entry Fee Hikes Across Key National Parks And Reserves

Namibia is increasing its entry fees for foreign visitors to major national parks and reserves by 86%, effective April 1. 

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism confirmed that fees for adult foreign nationals visiting top-tier attractions will increase from R150 to R280 per person per day.

The attractions include Etosha National Park, Cape Cross Seal Reserve, Dorob National Park, Namib Naukluft Park (except for Sandwich Harbour), Tsau/Khaeb National Park, Skeleton Coast Park and the Waterberg Plateau. 

Fees for SADC adult visitors will rise from R100 to R180.

The daily fee for vehicles is as follows:

  • 2-10 seats from R50 to R60 
  • 11-25 seats from R100 to R150 
  • 26-50 seats from R400 to R600  
  • Larger vehicles from R700 to R1 000
