Padel Power Meets Wellness at ‘Queens of the Court’ A Tournament That Serves More Than Just Sport

One court, sixty women, endless rallies. On 31 May, Queens of the Court lands at Next Gen Padel Bryanston Sports Club, and it is bringing the heat. The all-women padel tournament, hosted by performance supplement brand Nutritional Performance Labs (NPL) and SA’s favourite collagen and wellness brand, Motherkind, is about to make its mark on the local sport calendar.
With a field of 30 doubles all-women teams, this tournament is not just about winning. It is about showing up, playing hard and backing your body every step of the way.
Padel has momentum for a reason. Played in doubles on a glass-walled court, it blends the speed of tennis with the angles of squash. It is fast, tactical and keeps you moving. No wonder it has become the sport of choice for people who want challenge and connection in the same match.
“It is the perfect fit for what we stand for,” says Cherrie Blackmore, Marketing Manager at NPL. “Padel’s got bite. It’s fun, intense and community-driven, and those are exactly the qualities we see in our audience. We’re creating a space where performance and enjoyment don’t cancel each other out.”
The partnership with Motherkind sharpens that focus. With its Pure Premium Collagen supplement, Motherkind champions strength and recovery from the inside out. Collagen is a key protein in the body, supporting joints, muscles, skin, hair and connective tissue. For women pushing through fast-paced games, that kind of support makes a real difference.
The tournament kicks off at 08h45 with a group warm-up led by NPL’s Monique (@monique.fit), followed by a full morning of round-robin matches, semi-finals and finals. By 13h00, the top teams in both upper and lower brackets will be crowned, with prizes handed out and some well-earned post-match stories shared.
Expect more than medals. Spot prizes, giveaways and a lucky draw will keep the energy high off-court, with appearances from Motherkind ambassador Zenande (@zenandefunani) and others on the day. Whether you are playing or spectating, this is not a sit-back event.
Tickets are available online via Quicket until 26 May. Limited slots remain and the courts are filling fast.
Queens of the Court is not just a day out. It is a full-tilt celebration of movement, muscle and mindset.
