Clutch, fuelled by Monster Energy and presented by VANS, is an exciting online campaign celebrating progressive, high-performance surfing.

The first entry goes to Chad Du Toit at North Beach. One of the most impressive entries so far comes from Indie Malherbe, surfing in the Mentawais.
If you have something to submit, send your surfing clips to Zigzag! Entry details are provided at the bottom of this release.

The Prizes
Podium Grand Prize
- The Surfer: R25,000 and a spot on a mystery international editorial surf trip in 2025 with the Monster team and Zag crew.
- The Videographer: R12,500.
Monthly Prizes
- The Surfer: R5,000, a case of Monster Energy, and entry into the final for a shot at the Grand Prize.
- The Videographer: R3,000, a pair of Raen sunglasses, Vans Crosspath shoes, a Crosspath PO hoodie, a case of Monster Energy, and entry into the final for the videography grand prize.
Local Hero Prizes
- Local Hero Surfer: A brand new Xcel All Weather Jacket, a custom Lost surfboard, Vans Brain Storms Study Ls Tee, Service Cargo Loose Tapered Pant, Theo Windbreaker, and a case of Monster Energy.
