Port Alfred Easter Festival 2026 expanding line-up includes surf, bowls, parkrun, and the Four Elements Festival, with more announcements to follow

Port Alfred is building momentum ahead of Easter weekend from 3 to 6 April 2026, with the Port Alfred Easter Festival continuing to broaden its programme across sport, lifestyle and community events.
Anchored by elite junior and QS-level surfing at East Beach, the festival has evolved into a multi-day, multi-venue showcase that activates the town from the shoreline to the greens and into the streets.
Four Elements Festival – Saturday 4 April
The Four Elements Festival returns as a central highlight of the weekend. The event brings craft markets, live music, food stalls and family entertainment into one high-energy street celebration. Popular competitions, including the Wife-Carrying Race and the Potjie Cook-Off, add spectacle and strong crowd participation to a full day in the heart of town.
Edge Pro Ten Easter Bowls Tournament
The Edge Pro Ten Easter Bowls Tournament, presented by Edge Financial Group and hosted by the Port Alfred Bowling and Croquet Club, remains a long-standing fixture of the Easter calendar. With competitive match play and packed greens, the tournament blends serious bowls with a lively social atmosphere, attracting players and supporters from across the region.
Port Alfred parkrun
Saturday morning begins with the free 5km Port Alfred parkrun. Open to walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels, the event offers an accessible and community-driven start to the day before the broader festival programme unfolds.
Further event announcements will follow in the coming weeks as the 2026 programme continues to take shape. Together, the expanding line-up positions Port Alfred as one of the Eastern Cape’s premier Easter destinations.
