Cayden Robert – South Africa’s Rising Motorsport Racing Star

Most 16-year-old boys are obsessed with PlayStation and sneaking out at night to get up to mischief – but not King Price Xtreme’s Cayden Robert. Since the age of 6, Robert has dedicated his life to 1 thing, and that’s becoming a professional motorcycle racer and hopefully have a career on the world stage.
While Robert only started racing when he was 6, the racing bug bit much earlier when he started spending time at the racetrack supporting his older brother Tyreece. Now, along with their younger brother Blake, they all proudly wear the number 22 and have a slew of titles under their helmets.
In his earlier years, Robert raced mini bikes and won races in his first season. He later joined the SA Motorcycle Racing Academy where he raced a Honda NSF100. He finished strongly in the 2020 NSF Championship and set his sights on winning that title.
At age 13, he became the youngest-ever Dragon Energy Pro Athlete and also won the NSF Championship.
In 2022, under the guidance of now-11-time SA superbike champion, King Price Xtreme team lead Clint Seller and his dad Craig, he won the NSF Championship.
He also moved to the 150 Class and towards the end of the season, which showed that he could fight in the front of that class.
In 2023, Cayden added two more titles to his growing list of achievements: the SA Short Circuit 150 Cup Championship and the RSR 150 Cup Championship. That same year, he participated in the Red Bull Rookies MotoGP Selection Event in Spain, where he showcased immense potential, though he was not selected.
In 2024, Cayden returned to the SA Short Circuit 150 Cup, this time as a Senior. He dominated the competition, clinching the Championship with one round to spare. His outstanding performance earned him another invitation to the Rookies Trials, a significant milestone for any rider. He was also fortunate to attend an intense training camp in Spain, where he gained valuable insights from top riders and coaches.
Looking ahead to 2025, Cayden is set to make a significant leap to a 600cc Superbike. He will race on a Honda CBR600 in the National Supersport Class. Fully aware of the challenges ahead, Cayden is committed to his training and is working diligently to rise to the occasion.
Once his homework and training are done, Robert might join his mates for some PlayStation. But only to play MotoGP. Even in his ‘off time’ he’s committed to upping his racing game in every way that he can. Remember the name: You’ll be hearing about Cayden Robert for years to come.
