Ballito, August 7, 2025 – EDU360 College is coming to Ballito in January 2026, bringing the globally respected BTEC qualification to local students through Pearson Education and SwitchedOn Education – an inclusive, innovative pathway to future success.
This new development builds on the success of EDU360 School Ballito, which opened its doors earlier this year with an inaugural enrolment of 15 students. The school’s expansion into the Dolphin Coast reflects EDU360’s commitment to providing tailored educational solutions for learners who think and learn differently.
“Ballito has shown a real appetite for new, inclusive models of education,” said Principal Jacqui McKelvey. “Our School has been warmly welcomed here since its launch in January. Now, by bringing EDU360 College to the community, we can offer students both in Ballito and across South Africa access to the BTEC - an adaptable and future-focused qualification that opens doors to university entrance and a wide range of career opportunities.”
The BTEC programme, developed by Pearson Education and delivered in South Africa through SwitchedOn Education, provides practical, applied learning across subject areas such as business, creative arts, information technology, and health sciences. Unlike traditional examination-heavy systems, BTEC emphasises coursework, real-world application, and skills development, making it particularly well-suited for students with diverse learning profiles.
EDU360 will offer the BTEC both in-person at the new Ballito campus and online for students nationwide, ensuring flexibility and accessibility. This hybrid model allows students to choose the learning environment that best supports their strengths and circumstances, whether that’s face-to-face in a supportive classroom or through a structured online platform.
Having successfully operated both a School and College in Johannesburg since 2016, EDU360 brings nearly a decade of proven results to this new venture. “Our students thrive when given the chance to learn in ways that make sense to them,” McKelvey added. “We know that the BTEC, with its emphasis on practical learning, is going to resonate with Ballito families looking for education that prepares young people for both higher education and the world of work.”
The arrival of EDU360 College Ballito in 2026 marks an important step in expanding inclusive, globally relevant education in South Africa. By combining international best practice with local community knowledge, EDU360 is once again reshaping what it means to educate for tomorrow.
