FundiConnect has announced its new partnership with Varsity Vibe. This forms part of the company’s goal to provide good value for money for students in South Africa.
The brand partnership with Varsity Vibe, SA’s first student discount app, aligns with FundiConnect’s overarching goal to relieve the financial pressures of being a student.
"Being a student is exciting but can also be incredibly taxing. In partnering up with Varsity Vibe, we hope to relieve some of the financial strain South African students experience upon entering tertiary education," says James Kieser, product owner at FundiConnect.
Varsity Vibe started operating in 2011 and has since been offering students exclusive discounts and deals across Gauteng, the Western Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Free State.
To sign up, all students need is their student ID card and a once-off annual fee of R200. However, Standard Bank account holders have the benefit of getting a free membership at no additional cost.
The student discount app strives to partner with only the coolest South African brands, such as Superbalist, Nando’s, and most recently, SANParks.
"Whether you need new stationery, a study snack, or a break from student life, Varsity Vibe has its finger on the pulse of each part of the student journey," Kieser adds.
Students can sign up to the app here.
