2025 WomenCan Awards Celebrates Trailblazing Women at “A Night of Mystery” Gala

WomenCan, a unique women empowerment platform, hosted its highly anticipated “A Night of Mystery” Gala and WomenCan Awards ceremony to honour women who are redefining leadership and breaking barriers across various sectors.
The evening brought together leaders, influencers, and advocates committed to empowering women across South Africa. This year’s theme, “Unlocking Your Inner Power”, spotlighted the strength, resilience, and influence of exceptional women driving change in South Africa and beyond.
Speaking at the event, WomenCan founder, Tumi Mthembu urged women to lead with purpose. “It is time to align our businesses, working environment and homes with the values we want to see reflected in society. We need to model what’s possible by creating a positive change while thriving in the different areas of our lives and show that women can be a force for meaningful empowerment and transformation.”
The WomenCan awards continue to serve as a platform that not only recognises excellence but also amplifies the stories of women who are driving meaningful impact in their communities and industries.
The 2024 WomenCan awards recipients passed on the baton by celebrating and honouring the following phenomenal women:

- The SheCan Award – Alex Boavida
- The Voice Award – Nompendulo Mkhatshwa
- The Founder Award – Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala
