Creative to find their extraordinary at The Escape

Expressions is hosting its annual signature creative event,  The Escape on Saturday, 21 November 2026 at Pere House, Midrand to showcase emerging creatives in music, fashion, art, and beauty.

Headlined by Brenden Praise and Jinger Stone, this year’s edition invites audiences to step beyond the ordinary and experience a vibrant gathering of creativity, entertainment and connection.

“Expressions was created to give creative talent room to be seen, experienced and celebrated. With The Escape, we are expanding that vision by bringing together different creative worlds in one space. We want people to come for the music, discover something new, connect with others and leave with memories that stay with them,” says Tumi Mthembu, founder of Expressions.

Five worlds. One unforgettable experience.

Under the theme The Great Spring, the event aims to bring different generations together and promises a day of discovery, with five immersive experience zones, each bringing its own atmosphere and opportunities for discovery:

• Vibe City: The heartbeat of the event, bringing music and live entertainment to the forefront, with headline performances by Brendan Praise and Jinger Stone.
• The Gathering: A space for connection, conversation and shared experiences, bringing friends, families and communities together 
• Style Central: A celebration of fashion, personal style and self-expression, spotlighting creativity through looks, trends and visual storytelling by 
• The Playground: An interactive space designed to bring fun and engaging experiences to guests across generations.
• The Canvas: A creative world celebrating art, imagination and the many ways people express themselves

Together, the five zones create an experience that extends beyond a traditional live event, inviting guests to move between different worlds of entertainment, creativity and discovery throughout the day.

At its core, The Escape is about creating an environment where people can explore their interests, appreciate local creative talent and enjoy experiences that bring them together.

The Great Spring edition also offers an opportunity for guests to reconnect with friends and family while discovering new artists, creative expressions and experiences in a vibrant outdoor setting.
