Stolen vehicle recovered – White River

On Thursday 06 April 2023 at approximately 13h27 Fidelity ADT received a message on the White River Crime alert WhatsApp group regarding a white Toyota Corolla that was stolen at the Shoprite Centre in White River. No tracking installed in the vehicle.
Joe de Bruyn, Branch Manager for Fidelity ADT says, “Reaction Officer de Beer, who is very familiar with the area, went directly to Spioenkop road, as this road is normally used when vehicles are stolen in the area .While patrolling, he decided to take a small gravel road that links the Spioenkop Road with the Numbi Road. As he exited this gravel road onto the Numbi Road, he turned right heading back towards White River. He drove for approximately 1km when he noticed a white vehicle standing next to the road. It was confirmed that this was the stolen vehicle which was left by the suspects. Vehicle was recovered and handed over to SAPS. .”
“I commend our officer for his vigilance and quick action. Working together with SAPS and the community sends a strong message to criminals that crime will not be tolerated,” concludes de Bruyn.
