With public voting about to open, Mr Gay World Southern Africa has announced that two delegates have withdrawn from the competition to be held in September.
Voting for your favourite Mr Gay World Southern Africa delegate is about to open. After entries closed at the end on July for the 2017 edition of Mr Gay World South Africa, thirteen delegates were announced who would be participating in this prestigious event. Two of those delegates have now indicated that they are no longer able to participate.
Eldon Bothma and Sibulele Mtimbe have both withdrawn and have been replaced by two new delegates who were placed on a waiting list for this very reason. The new delegates are Thabang Phutsisi-Bhengu from Randburg in Gauteng (#MRGWSA14) and Vhulenda Madou from Musina in Limpopo Province (#MRGWSA15).
Mr. Gay World Southern Africa is not just an easy walk down the runway, it is an intense competition to find the very best ambassador to represent Southern Africa at the Mr Gay World event to be held in 2018. The delegates have to run campaigns, be involved in the LGBTQ+ community, and undergo a gruelling weeklong judging process, which will result in the final show to be held at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria on 23 September. Tickets will go on sale soon. Meanwhile voting for your favorite Mr Gay World Southern Africa 2017 Delegate will open Tuesday 15 August 2017 at midnight and will close Friday 22 September 2017 at midnight.
This can be done through the website www.mrgwsa.com.
