CapeGate turns Centre Court into a penalty shootout this weekend

Shoppers to test their skills against a virtual goalkeeper this weekend, with cash prizes on offer for the best strikers in Centre Court.
Think you've got what it takes?
With the FIFA World Cup still underway, CapeGate Shopping Centre is giving football fans the chance to step onto the pitch themselves.
From 10 to 12 July, Centre Court will host the CG Kick Off, a free interactive soccer challenge open to shoppers of all ages.
Take On The Virtual Goalkeeper
Channel your inner Mbappé while you take on a virtual goalkeeper and try to beat them with your best shots.
Players have 40 seconds to rack up as many points as possible by hitting the target areas, testing speed, skill and accuracy in equal measure.
Whether you are a seasoned striker or just after some family fun, everyone is welcome to take part.
Scores feed into a live leaderboard, so shoppers can see how they compare with everyone else who has taken a shot that day.
The top scorer in each category each day earns a place in the Grand Finale on Sunday, when the overall champions will be crowned.
Prizes Up For Grabs
There are some decent prizes on offer too.
Adults and kids over 12 competing for the men’s and women’s titles can win a R2000 gift card for first place, R1000 for second and R500 for third.
Younger players under 12 are in with a chance of winning R1000, R500 or R250 for the top three spots.
“The CG Kick Off gives our shoppers the chance to become the star of their own match, with some friendly competition and great prizes on offer for the whole family,” said Zoë Enslin, Marketing Manager of CapeGate Shopping Centre.
