CapeGate sets the stage for a high-stakes MTN SHIFT Gaming weekend
Written by: CapeGate Save to Instapaper
The road to the MTN SHIFT national finals is getting shorter, and CapeGate is the next venue to earn yourself a spot. The gaming experience takes over centre court from 14 to 16 August, offering competitors three days of tournament action, challenges and prizes.
CapeGate hosts the final mall stop before the series reaches Canal Walk for the National Finals, adding extra edge to an already competitive weekend. Yet MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience is open and accessible to players across different experience levels, from established competitors chasing national qualification to newcomers ready to test their skills in a tournament setting.
EA FC 26™ Online Qualifier
The EA FC 26™ online qualifier takes place on 9 August, with the top four finishers advancing directly to the CapeGate Mall Qualifier. The winner will claim a R2500 CapeGate gift card and qualification for the National Football Final, where a R50000 prize pool is on the line. Second place receives a R1500 gift card, while third place wins R1000.
Games and Prize Pool
Players can also take on Beat Saber, enter the Fighting Cup across Brawlhalla, Tekken and Street Fighter 6, tackle the Keyboard Rebuild Race or enjoy the PC Gaming Zone and free-play stations. Across the eight-centre series, competitors are playing for a combined R350000 prize pool.
