Two creatines. One serving. South Africa hasn't seen this before. New formula combines two forms of creatine in a single, stimulant-free serving
Most creatine supplements do one thing. NPL’s latest does two… and the South African market is getting it first.
NPL Creatine Nitrate combines Creatine Monohydrate and Creatine Nitrate in a single formula, pairing the most researched creatine on the market with a newer compound that brings something monohydrate alone cannot: nitrates. That combination - 3g of each form per serving, 5g total creatine and 1g of nitrates - has not been available as a local product in South Africa until now.
The science behind the formula
The science behind it is easy enough to understand. Creatine Monohydrate feeds the ATP system, which is how muscles access energy fast under load. Creatine Nitrate adds nitric oxide production to that equation. More nitric oxide means wider blood vessels, better blood flow and more oxygen reaching muscle tissue mid-workout.
The two mechanisms work in parallel: one pushes energy production, the other improves delivery. Gym-goers know the end result as muscle pump. Endurance athletes will feel it as sustained output rather than the familiar drop-off in the final sets or the closing kilometres.
Even outside the gym or training grounds, the broader effects are worth noting. Regular creatine use is associated with increased muscle mass, reduced cramping and measurable improvements in cognitive function, making this relevant to people who train as much for mental sharpness as for physical output.
Clean, stimulant-free and now available
The formula carries no stimulants and no added sugar, which is more important than it might initially appear. A large section of the fitness market, particularly women and those managing caffeine sensitivity, has long wanted creatine’s benefits without the pre-workout cocktail that often comes bundled with them. NPL Creatine Nitrate works as a standalone supplement or alongside an existing programme.
“South African athletes and gym goers have been asking for more from their creatine,” said Cherrie Blackmore, Marketing Manager at NPL. “Stacking two creatine forms with nitrates in a clean, stimulant-free formula gives them the performance and the pump in a single product. That’s a meaningful step forward for what the local market has access to.”
NPL Creatine Nitrate is available now through NPL's retail and online channels.
