Masterclass Talk for actors - 'Women Take Lead' tomorrow at Constitution Hill

African American Actress, Director, and Producer, Tasha Smith together with her twin sister, Director and Producer and Executive Producer of Essence Makers and Creators Sidra Smith, has partnered with Actor Spaces team Pallance Dladla – the initiator of bringing the sisters to South Africa, Ayanda Sithebe and Sdumo Mtshali for a one day Masterclass Talk: ‘Women Take Lead’ taking place this coming Friday in Johannesburg.

Actor Spaces continues to seek platforms and innovative ways to enhance the Acting culture – Pallance Dladla, Executive Director.

The Actor Spaces trio is well-known for hosting and conducting some of the best Masterclasses and Master Talks for actors – established and upcoming, in South Africa while Tasha Smith is a to-go-to Acting Coach for stars like Mary J Blidge and also regularly hosts TSAW (Tasha Smith Actors Workshop) in different countries. Tasha Smith and Actor Spaces partnership is a match made in acting heaven as both entities have practically engaged and interacted with professionals and stakeholders in the film and television industry, and they have helped the actors to elevate their careers and executives in the industry with better and informed decision making. Actor Spaces just last month directed the premium film festival, Africa Rising International Film Festival in Newtown.

Masterclass Talk: ‘Women Take Lead’ is scheduled to start at 09h00 in the morning at the Constitution Hill on Friday, the 20th December 2019. Mampho Brescia – Isibaya Actor and first-ever Brand Japan Ambassador for South Africa, is set to host the panel led by Tasha and Sidra Smith with Actor and Producer extraordinaire Lala Tuku. Lala Tuku also is Africa Rising International Film Festival’s Co-Chair.

The Masterclass Talk: ‘Women Take Lead’ is a bold, unapologetic and empowering statement/conversation around how black women in the film and television industry are rising to defeat the odds, from unequal pay to sexual violence and erasure. Women continue to take the lead in changing the narrative for the future of women in the film and television, both locally and abroad. It will also lend a voice to the subject of ‘closing the global gap’ between South African actors and the world.

The Masterclass Talk: ‘Women Take Lead’ is made possible by Actor Spaces in association with Thami Dish Productions.
