De Grendel Concerts presents triple header

De Grendel Concerts proudly presents a triple header spectacular, featuring the Congo Cowboys, Majozi and Sunset Sweatshop on Sunday 16 April 2023.

Following a hugely successful inaugural concert at De Grendel in February, the Cape's spectacular estate is proud to announce its next Sunset Picnic Concert.

Join one of South Africa's premier wine farms for an afternoon of music, fine wines and three amazing artists whilst enjoying your picnic on the picturesque lawns of De Grendel Wines in Durbanville.

BANDS AND TIMES

15.00 - Congo Cowboys was formed by Freshlyground members Simon Attwell (banjo), Julio Sigauque (bass) and Congolese lead singer Chris Bakalanga (guitar), together with South African drummer Unity Mzi.

16.00 - Majozi, born in Kwazulu Natal, is one of South Africa’s prolific indie folk song writers and has had numerous hits.  ‘Waiting’, ‘Fire, Darling’, ‘Close to you’ to name but a few!

17.00 - Sunset Sweatshop is a South African feel-good rock band with reggae and folk influences. The band members are Ian Heyns (vocals), Rossouw Wentzel (guitar), Bruce Sonnekus (guitar and backing vocals), Richard Dicks (Bass Guitar) and Victor Green (Drums and Backing Vocals).

BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC BASKETS Bring your own picnic baskets (NO Alcohol), or enjoy food and beverages from one of the many first-class vendors.

TICKET PRICING Tickets are R300 per person at Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.co.za.

Limited early bird tickets available at R250 per person.

VIP Package available at R7500 for 10, including cheese platters, VIP Parking, De Grendel Wine and a private area with seating.

GATES OPEN AT 13:30

Gates open at 13:30 for a fun filled afternoon. Enjoy the Champagne Bar, or indulge in the Gin Garden whilst listening to DJ Luke as he warms up the crowd for the main event. There will be numerous lucky draw giveaways throughout the afternoon. To be eligible, you need to be on-site to claim your prize.
