For the first time a public talk is to be held discussing the most controversial topic of near-death experiences. Come join other inquiring minds on 19 September at the Delta Environmental Centre, Johannesburg and learn more about this enigmatic topic.

Speaker Leon Erasmus says “Today, near-death experiences are often thought of as proof of life after death.  In fact, NDEs (near-death experiences) have become so common, that they have slipped into our everyday language. Think of phrases like "light at the end of the tunnel" or "my whole life flashed before my eyes".  Yet, the topic remains utterly controversial. Often mentioned in hushed tones but seldom talked about in polite conversation.”

This talk is neither wholly scientific nor wholly religious in nature. With regard for personal opinion and remaining objective, the talk neatly summarises current knowledge on NDEs including who, according to research, is more likely to have such an experience. The contentious Pam Reynolds case is also discussed. Pam experienced an NDE during her brain operation whilst no brain-wave activity was recorded and no blood was flowing in her brain.

Yet, all is not always what it seems. This talk is thought-provoking, hard-hitting, upsetting and perhaps even disturbing.  If you have an open mind and you are willing to listen to facts that may be uncomfortable to you – you will not be disappointed.
