SoftwareOne has strengthened its African leadership team following the integration of Crayon, positioning the business for continued growth across South Africa and the continent.
Led by Werner Wilders, the team will drive cloud transformation, AI readiness, software optimisation and digital innovation for customers across Africa.
Johannesburg, South Africa – 3 June 2026: SoftwareOne has announced a strengthened leadership team for South Africa and the broader African region as the company enters its next phase of growth following the integration of Crayon into the global SoftwareOne brand.
A New Chapter Following The Crayon Integration
The appointments come at a pivotal time for the business, following the completion of the Crayon acquisition in July 2025 and the subsequent transition to a unified SoftwareOne brand in 2026.
The integration has created a global technology solutions organisation with expanded scale, deeper cloud and software expertise, and operations spanning more than 70 countries.
Leadership Driving Regional Growth
Leading the regional growth strategy is Werner Wilders, who brings more than three decades of experience in software, cloud, channel development and partner ecosystems.
Having previously held senior leadership roles at Microsoft and Crayon, Wilders now oversees SoftwareOne’s Africa business as General Manager for Africa (MEA).
Supporting this vision is a leadership team with extensive expertise across licensing, finance, sales, cloud transformation and enterprise technology.
Lindie Clarke has been appointed as Licensing Sales Lead for Africa.
Clarke has more than 15 years of experience across Microsoft, and Crayon with deep expertise in Microsoft licensing strategy, enterprise agreement management, cloud optimisation and compliance governance across Africa and the UAE.
Nireshini Naidoo continues to reinforce the organisation’s operational and financial governance as Africa Financial Manager.
Naidoo brings extensive financial leadership experience across multinational environments, with a strong track record in strategic financial planning, compliance, forecasting and business growth enablement.
The team is further bolstered by Makhosini Dlamini, an accomplished ICT executive with more than 20 years’ experience spanning Microsoft, Oracle, Vodacom and SoftwareOne.
Dlamini leads the pre-sales function, supporting customers with cloud transformation, enterprise architecture and strategic technology solutions.
Investing In African Expertise
According to Wilders, the new leadership structure reflects SoftwareOne’s commitment to investing in African expertise while leveraging the scale and capabilities of a unified global business.
“The transition to SoftwareOne marks an exciting new chapter for our business in South Africa and across Africa. By bringing together the strengths of both SoftwareOne and Crayon, we are creating a stronger organisation with the expertise, scale and local understanding needed to help customers navigate increasingly complex technology environments,” says Wilders.
“Our leadership team combines deep market knowledge with global capability, enabling us to support organisations as they modernise, optimise costs, embrace AI and unlock greater value from their technology investments.”
Supporting Digital Transformation Across Africa
The leadership team will support SoftwareOne’s continued focus on cloud transformation, software and licensing optimisation, AI readiness, cybersecurity, and managed services as organisations across Africa accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
