Facilities Management Expo 2025 proves a smart investment for operations professionals

Facilities Management Expo 2025, held alongside Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, and Firexpo from 3 to 5 June at Gallagher Convention Centre, once again delivered strong returns for exhibitors and visitors alike. Focused on improving the built environment, the expo catered to professionals managing commercial, industrial, retail, and public facilities. Together, the four co-located expos attracted thousands of key industry players and executives — from South Africa, the rest of Africa, and abroad — actively sourcing solutions.

“From smart building technologies and energy-saving solutions to cleaning systems, and property maintenance tools, the expo floor was packed with practical innovations designed to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The show’s positioning alongside complementary sectors enabled cross-sector learning and business opportunities,” says Mark Anderson, portfolio director at Specialised Exhibitions, a division of Montgomery Group.

The free-to-attend Facilities Management Seminar Theatre was a major drawcard, featuring curated content covering workplace trends, sustainability strategies, and integrated building management systems. Attendees valued the access to experts and the real-world examples presented in each session.

Mel Barends from KellerWilliams, says: “The show has been excellent, as it is every year. We picked up a tremendous amount of leads, which is really refreshing. We see a lot of value in being involved at Facilities Management Expo. We get to engage and collaborate with our counterparts in synergistic industries. The FM side is definitely growing, and the expo is putting us in the spotlight. Nothing compares to it.”
