5 Things we're doing to add value to franchisees

A change has been happening over the last two years and it is making us stronger. Carla Visagie, Franchises Sales Manager at Just Property Head Office would like to share it with you!

The "we" referred to in this blog is the team of our Just Property Head Office; compliance, finance, IT, marketing and operations experts who bring the brand's franchising model to life and walk side-by-side with franchisees across South Africa and in Namibia.

Striving to "just be better"

There is a relentless pursuit to "just be better" in all that we do. So much so that it is part of our quiet reflections and in our everyday dialogue. Every piece of feedback we receive from our franchisees is carefully considered, viewed from multiple perspectives, and applied to our ways of working, as appropriate. The result of this drive to add more value today than we did yesterday can be exhausting and sometimes demoralising. But when we look back a year from now, we know we will be better. Much better!

Having great ideas ahead of time

We have some crazy ideas, many of them ahead of their time. Like seeing the power of Google Reviews more than 6 years ago and reaping the benefits today. Like imagining a system that allows information captured once to be automatically carried through to everything… from tenant application to vetting, to contracting, to payments, to moving on. We even have a name for that: IDAD (Instantiated Data Always Derivable). Why do companies make people write the same information, like name and ID number multiple times? It's annoying! So, we don't make our clients do it!

Being optimistic, always!

We're ridiculously and unapologetically optimistic. Yes, life is tough. Yes, our economy is under pressure. But, yes, there are still so many opportunities to serve people and make a good living in the process. Read our press releases and follow us on Social Media. I promise that what you see there is real. The result is that Just Property is gaining market share every year, we are growing our footprint, increasing our deals, and working with more people than ever before.

Delivering higher levels of service

Our team is growing. While other brands may choose to have lean Head Office teams with outsourced functions and very independent franchisees, we are moving the other way in order to deliver higher levels of service than before, to be more available than ever and to give our franchisees the individual attention they deserve. Does that squeeze profit margins? Yes! Will it position us better in time to come? Yes!

Working collaboratively

We're obsessed with our Big Hairy Audacious Goal to be the #1 South African Real Estate brand. And that means we have stepped right out of our comfort zones; with clearly defined objectives and key results (OKRs), a sharp focus on effective ways of working and a commitment to collaboration and high-impact activities. Our culture feels like it was crafted by the giants of our time, people like Robin Sharma and Mel Robbins. Sounds cheesy, right? Feels amazing, though!
