WellBeings Africa Launches Its First National Habits Challenge to Support Sustainable Health Behaviour Change
Written by: Charlene Naidoo Save to InstapaperIn March 2026, WellBeings Africa will launch the WellBeings Habits Challenge 2026, its first-ever national health challenge designed to help South Africans build healthier lives... one small habit at a time.
Running over six months, the challenge focuses on realistic, evidence-informed habits across nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and preventative care. Rather than promoting quick fixes or extreme transformations, the programme encourages steady, achievable actions that can be sustained long after the challenge ends.
This challenge is intentionally different. It’s slower, gentler, and built around consistency rather than perfection.
Participants will be guided through one simple habit each month, supported by weekly prompts, educational content, and light-touch accountability. A sense of community and friendly motivation is woven in, along with a R5,000 cash prize awarded at the end of the challenge to celebrate commitment and follow-through.
The WellBeings Habits Challenge reflects a growing shift in health thinking: that meaningful behaviour change happens through repetition, support, and compassion.
As this is the inaugural year of the challenge, WellBeings Africa is inviting aligned organisations and brands to take part in supporting specific habit areas or contributing prizes that reinforce healthier choices. Partner involvement is flexible and values-led, ranging from prize contributions to broader collaboration around education and awareness.
