The Dis-Chem Half Marathon Relaunches as The Biogen Half Marathon Presented by Momentum Multiply for 2025

After 22 years, Dis-Chem is proud to announce that its leading sports and wellness brand, Biogen, has been appointed as the title sponsor for the Half Marathon and 5km Dash in 2025, with presenting sponsor Momentum Multiply returning for their second consecutive year.
The 23rd edition will be hosted by Bedfordview Country Club Athletics on 12 January 2025. Runners can expect the same high-quality event, featuring a challenging route winding through the scenic hills of Bedfordview, Morninghill, and Primrose. The route offers breathtaking views and provides an ideal start to the running calendar for the New Year.

Event Details
- Date: Sunday, 12 January 2025
- Race Start: Half Marathon at 06:00 AM | 5km Dash at 06:30 AM
- Location: Riley Road, Bedfordview
The Half Marathon will feature a seeded start and standard race timing. The event is known to sell out quickly, with 6000 entries available for the 21km race. All participants will receive a technical race T-shirt and a goodie bag. Entries are open at www.biogen21.co.za and will close on 15 December or once all entries are sold out. Additionally, the 5km Fun Run will return, offering 1000 entries.
Supporting Charitable Causes
The race will raise funds for two charities: Lambano Sanctuary and the Namaqua Dog and Donkey Foundation, which focuses on sterilising, vaccinating, and treating animals in informal settlements on the East Rand. All runner donations, over and above the entry fee, will be matched by the Dis-Chem Foundation.
