The esteemed Wine Harvest Commemorative Event is delighted to announce the opening of nominations for the 2027 honours.
Submissions are invited from the South African wine industry community nationwide to honour those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, dedication, and service.
Industry peers, organisations, and anyone involved in or contribute to the industry, are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals by the deadline of 3 August 2026.
For decades, this event has celebrated exceptional individuals whose passion and hard work have shaped and bolstered the South African wine industry.
The occasion not only benefits the entire industry but also marks the harvest blessing and honours the birth of the South African wine industry, immortalised on 2 February 1659 with, “Today, praise be to God, wine was made for the first time from Cape grapes.”
Today, it stands as a leading platform celebrating the people, heritage, excellence, and international stature of South African wine.
