A Reuben pastrami to go nuts for at the Gourmet Grocer
Submitted by: MyPressportal TeamIt’s rumoured there once was a Jewish Lithuanian-born grocer named Reuben in Omaha, Nebraska who ordered a corned beef and sauerkraut sandwich at his weekly poker game held in the Blackstone Hotel from around 1920 to 1935. Without fail! So, the hotel owner obliged, and the Reuben sandwich was born. Now there is a grocer in Birdhaven named Larry who sells a Reuben Pastrami that the original Reuben would go nuts for.
Enclosed in hand-made rye lathered with a mustard, cabbage slaw is the Gourmet Grocer’s secret home-made Pastrami. We call it, The Reuben Pastrami and it’s perfect for a quick work-day lunch, an early dinner or family Sunday chill out.
Made fresh daily, they do sell out fast so put your order in first thing in the morning. WhatsApp 082 805 1573 to order for curb-side collection at The Gourmet Grocer, 64 Wrenwrose Avenue Birdhaven
