Statestreet Retail Group Expands Made In Italy Luxury Presence Across Ghana And West Africa
Statestreet Retail Group is strengthening its position as a leading luxury retail platform in Ghana, expanding access to prestigious Made in Italy brands across West Africa.
Based in Accra and led by Founder and CEO Henry Asante Donkor, the Group operates a network of 10 premium retail stores, positioning itself as a gateway for European craftsmanship and global fashion excellence in the region.
Strengthening Ghana As A Luxury Hub
Through its flagship brand, Boulevard Menswear, Statestreet Retail Group continues to introduce refined Italian tailoring, luxury footwear, and premium fabrics to a growing base of high-net-worth and aspirational consumers.
This expansion is further supported by international media collaboration led by Amedee Martin Mieke, reinforcing Ghana’s role as a strategic entry point for Made in Italy brands into African markets.
New Strategic Direction With Italian Denim
As part of its growth strategy, the Group has announced the introduction of Made in Italy denim and jeans, signalling a shift toward more accessible luxury offerings tailored to evolving consumer demand.
This move reflects a broader ambition to balance exclusivity with accessibility while maintaining the integrity of Italian craftsmanship.
Henry Asante Donkor commented on the Group’s long-term vision:
“Our vision is to build Africa’s most trusted luxury retail platform, connecting global excellence with local opportunity.”
A Diversified Portfolio Of Retail Brands
Statestreet Retail Group manages a portfolio of premium brands catering to different market segments. Boulevard Menswear remains its cornerstone, offering a curated selection of Italian and European labels including Zecca Milano, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Scabal, Dormeuil, and Doucal’s.
The Group also operates Boulevard Women, focused on professional women’s fashion, and D’Angelo Clothing, a menswear brand repositioned for greater accessibility.
Younger consumers are targeted through Woodpeckers Sneakers & Streetwear, while Camicissima Milano brings Italian shirt craftsmanship to the Ghanaian market under franchise.
Additional concepts include Mademoiselle, a boho-chic womenswear brand, as well as upcoming launches such as Carbon Shoes, a British-inspired luxury footwear boutique, and Scentscape, a niche fragrance destination featuring artisanal perfume houses.
Exclusive Access To Italian Craftsmanship
Statestreet Retail Group serves as an exclusive distribution partner in Ghana for a range of renowned Italian brands. These include Zecca Milano, Emanuel Maffeis, Alessandro Gherardi, Harris Florence, Ortigni 1930, and BOIS 1920, among others.
This curated portfolio reflects a strong commitment to authenticity, quality, and heritage craftsmanship, reinforcing the Group’s positioning within the luxury segment.
Expansion And Investment Strategy
With a clear growth trajectory, Statestreet Retail Group plans to expand to 15 stores within the next three years, backed by an investment exceeding 20 million US dollars.
The strategy focuses on increasing its footprint in key urban locations while continuing to build partnerships with international luxury brands seeking entry into West Africa.
A Strategic Partner For Global Brands
The Group combines local market expertise with international brand alignment, offering partners a structured and reliable route into one of Africa’s fastest-growing consumer markets.
Its established retail infrastructure, experienced leadership, and focus on authentic Made in Italy positioning make it a compelling partner for global expansion.
Global Media And Market Positioning
Through its collaboration with Mokili Mobimba Magazine, led by Amedee Martin Mieke, the Group is also strengthening global visibility for Made in Italy brands in Africa.
This partnership supports brand storytelling, international positioning, and cross-cultural engagement, further reinforcing Ghana’s role in the global luxury ecosystem.
