Cape Town, South Africa – This October, renowned Cape Town chef and entrepreneur Jill Van As brings back her inspiring event, Look at Me Now, a unique gathering designed to celebrate life’s seasons, personal growth, and the joy of community.
Two years ago, the first Look at Me Now was born out of a desire to create a safe, judgment-free space for people to celebrate wins, acknowledge struggles, and embrace life’s journey. This year’s return feels especially timely. “We are ever evolving,” Jill shares.“Spring is always a time for renewal. The flowers bloom, the sun shows its face, and we all feel ready to tackle the world. This event is my way of showing growth, that I am not defined by what has happened to me, but by the hope and opportunities ahead. God designed this path for me.”
What Attendees Can Expect
Look at Me Now is designed for individuals who appreciate life’s experiences. It offers an afternoon of celebration, fine wine, dance, culinary delights, and convivial interaction. It is an opportunity to pause, acknowledge accomplishments, and celebrate personal growth while embracing the upcoming season.
Event Highlights
Guests can look forward to three uplifting hours dedicated to disconnecting from daily concerns and embracing their authentic selves. Expect:
- A welcome glass of wine from Seven Sisters Vineyards
- A charcuterie cart from Say Cheese, allowing guests to curate their own snack
- Delectable culinary offerings from Vibe Events & Catering
- Live entertainment, with dancing encouraged
- Spot prizes throughout the afternoon
- Cash bar available
At the first Look at Me Now, guests shared stories, laughed, cried, danced, and connected over food, bubbles, and words from Jill’s book. The new edition promises the same warmth and intimacy, with fresh experiences to reflect the growth and renewal of the season.
An Invitation to All
This event is not only for women but for all people, of all ages and genders, who want to celebrate life together. It is a safe space where wins and failures are equally honoured, and where joy, hope, and authenticity take centre stage.
