From Franschhoek to Europe - Le Naturel opens European pre-orders ahead of its ninth anniversary

WILDERNESS, SOUTH AFRICA, 23 October 2026 – Le Naturel, the fynbos-inspired skincare brand handcrafted in Wilderness on the Garden Route, has opened pre-orders in Europe ahead of its ninth anniversary on 15 November. European pre-orders launched on 1 October 2026 at le-naturel.eu, with deliveries beginning in November.

The expansion began with an unplanned encounter. A European couple staying at one of Le Naturel's 13 South African hotel partners found the products among the guest amenities. Something about them stayed with the couple, and they later contacted founder Love Botha about bringing the range to Europe.

From finished products to travelling oils

Initial conversations centred on exporting finished products. The partnership instead developed into Le Naturel Europe BV, based in Amersfoort in the Netherlands. South Africa's indigenous plant oils are now sent to Europe, where the range is made and distributed under licence – keeping the oils that inspired the brand at the centre of its European offering.

"There is no way I could have planned that particular hotel stay. But there were years of work behind the bottle those guests found," says Botha.

Nine years of small decisions

Botha founded Le Naturel in Franschhoek in 2017, after falling in love with the fragrance of South Africa's indigenous plants. Cape snowbush and buchu were the first scents that drew her in. The brand's first stockist was the Stellenbosch Botanical Garden, and in 2021 the business moved to Wilderness.

Today Le Naturel is carried by 59 stockists across South Africa, including 23 Wellness Warehouse stores, Faithful to Nature, Boschendal and Harvest Table, and its products are offered as guest amenities by 13 hotel partners.

"For me, trust has become something practical: making the next batch with care, answering the enquiry, staying open to a conversation," says Botha. "I still open a bottle of oil and pause. Nine years later, the fragrance still comes first."
