A case study: Empowering South African industry
Decentral Energy has already successfully implemented a 1.3MW Guascor Energy 56HM stationary gas engine generator solution for a Rosslyn-based FMCG company. This project showcases the versatility and reliability of Guascor Energy’s technology, enabling the client to expand their operations despite grid power constraints in the Rosslyn industrial area.

Guascor gas engines offer several advantages, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional diesel generators and South Africa's grid power. They also offer materially lower operating costs due to reduced fuel consumption and longer maintenance intervals. Additionally, these engines provide enhanced energy security with reliable fuel supply from various sources, including piped and compressed natural gas and LPG gas which is now supplied from direct LPG import facilities in each of Richards Bay and Saldanha Bay ports respectively, in addition to propane and butane produced by South Africa’s petroleum product refineries.
