CFI Brings Beginner Friendly Trading Seminar To Cape Town Empowering South Africans With Skills

CFI Financial Group, a leading global online trading provider, will host its next Five Essential Pillars for Online Trading Success seminar on Thursday, 25 September, at the Radisson Collection Hotel at the V&A Waterfront.
The session is designed for newcomers and early-stage traders who want a clear, practical introduction to trading concepts before committing their capital. The format follows CFI’s education-first approach used at recent sessions in Johannesburg and emphasises plain language and step-by-step guidance.
Lismore Burke, a trading educator and market analyst, will lead the evening, covering the basics of how financial markets work, how to spot opportunities across instruments, how to build a simple, rules-based strategy, and how to place a first trade with confidence. Attendees will get a straightforward walkthrough in plain language. For example, what moves prices, how to think about risk, and how to practise safely before going live.
“Our goal is to take the pressure out of a first trading experience,” says Zihaad Israfil, CEO of CFI Financial Group South Africa. “We’ll break the essentials into plain language, show how a straightforward strategy is built, and demonstrate what a first trade actually looks like. Our intention is to have people leave feeling informed, not intimidated.”
The seminar aligns with CFI’s focus on financial literacy and inclusive access. It focuses on understanding rather than speculation, encouraging participants to develop steady habits, from money check-ins to practising strategies in a demo environment before investing real money.
