Beating Loadshedding
Submitted by: Simon Carletti
As loadshedding does not seem to be going anywhere soon, IBN Immigration Solutions has made the decision to install a backup battery and solar power in our Cape Town office so that we can continue to service our clients effectively.
Sustaining our Power
This month, we received and installed our SustainPower Box, and we’re expecting a significant shipment of solar panels shortly. With this addition, we’ll be able to use solar energy to power our backup battery, ensuring that we won’t be affected by loadshedding anymore.
SustainGroup is a prominent African enterprise that specialises in clean energy equipment and operations. The company has expertise in various niche technologies such as biogas, landfill gas, off-grid solar, battery storage, and more.
While this development is a positive step for our sustainability efforts and the environment, it’s not great news for our finances. Operating in Africa can be costly due to the absence of fundamental services that a functional government should provide, such as security, electricity, and water. Nevertheless, we have devised plans to ensure that we can maintain our operational efficiency.
We would like to thank SustainGroup for their help in solving our own office’s energy crisis.
