The Western Cape Government's Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) is proud to announce the inaugural Western Cape Investment Summit (WCIS 2025), a premier platform designed to unlock transformative investment opportunities and accelerate inclusive economic growth in the region. The summit, themed “Catalysing Growth, Connecting Opportunities,” will take place from 5 to 7 November 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC 2).
The three-day summit is aligned with the province’s Growth for Jobs (G4J) strategy, which aims to build a R1 trillion inclusive economy growing at 5% per annum. The summit will bring together global investors, project developers, industry leaders, and government decision-makers to drive high-impact investments in the Western Cape's priority sectors.
Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape, stated, “Everything we do in our government and province is about growing our economy to create more jobs, and equipping our residents with the skills they need to get those jobs, so as to lead lives that they value and deserve. The Western Cape is the world’s gateway to our country and its immense economic potential. WCIS 2025 is the perfect platform for our province to not only showcase our successes but also to take our economy and job creation efforts to new heights.”
Dr Ivan Meyer, Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism, adds: “The Western Cape Investment Summit 2025 is a bold declaration of the Western Cape's readiness to lead Africa’s investment future. By connecting visionary entrepreneurs with global capital, we are catalysing inclusive growth, creating jobs, and unlocking the full potential of our high-impact sectors. This summit reflects our unwavering commitment to building an economy that is resilient, innovative, and globally competitive."
Showcasing High-Impact Projects
The WCIS 2025 invites project developers, entrepreneurs, businesses, municipalities, and other innovation-driven entities to submit investment-ready project proposals for consideration. Exclusive Engagement for Investors
Attendance at the summit is by invitation only. Potential investors, including financiers, investment funds, venture capital firms, and corporate investment teams, are required to complete an online Expression of Interest (EOI) form, which will be sent via email.
