CHOC House The 2025 Maritzburg SPAR Women’s Challenge Charity
Written by: Sharlene Versfeld Save to Instapaper
The Maritzburg SPAR Women’s 10/5km Challenge returns on Sunday 17 August, and this year, participants will once again be running for more than just fitness and fun – they will be making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.
The official race charity for the 2025 Challenge is the Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC), with proceeds going specifically to support CHOC House Pietermaritzburg. R5 from entry received will be donated directly to CHOC, helping fund essential services for children with cancer and their families, including accommodation, meals, transport, and psychosocial support during treatment.
CHOC House Pietermaritzburg serves families from across KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape who need a home-away-from-home while their children undergo life-saving care at local hospitals.
Entries for the Maritzburg SPAR Women’s Challenge are now completely sold out.
