One Pass. Two Parks - The Lion & Safari Park And The Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve Team Up For One Unbeatable Deal
Written by: The Platinum Club Save to Instapaper
This June and July, two of Gauteng’s top wildlife destinations are teaming up to bring adventure lovers and families a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Lion & Safari Park and the Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve have joined forces to offer the Ultimate Safari Duo – a value-packed ticket that unlocks access to both parks for the price of one, just in time for the school holidays.
This brand-new special allows visitors to enjoy two very different, yet equally thrilling safari experiences. At the Lion & Safari Park, guests will be taken on a professionally guided 1-hour game drive where they’ll come face-to-face with some of South Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, wild dogs, cheetahs, and various antelope species. Meanwhile, the Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve offers a self-drive safari for those who prefer to explore the bush at their own pace. The ticket also includes access to the incredible Bothongo Wondercave, one of Gauteng’s oldest and most captivating natural formations.
Available from 1 June to 31 July 2025, the Ultimate Safari Duo is tailor-made for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking to get outside and make the most of the school break. It’s a full day of wildlife, wonder, and wide-eyed discovery – all wrapped up into one easy, affordable experience.
The initiative is one of the most exciting offerings the parks have ever launched. “This is an unbeatable deal,” says Shandor Larenty, Wildlife Manager at the Lion & Safari Park. “Not only does it offer incredible value for money, but the timing is perfect for the school holidays. Families can now enjoy two very different safari adventures – from spotting big cats in the bush to exploring the magical Bothongo Wondercave all in a single package. It’s a full day of nature, discovery and fun that really delivers on experience.”
The value speaks for itself. Adults pay just R600, and kids aged 6 to 12 can enjoy the full experience for only R150. It’s an unbeatable price for double the excitement, double the animals, and double the natural beauty that Gauteng has to offer.
The collaboration between the two parks aims to not only increase accessibility to nature-based tourism but also to inspire a deeper love for conservation among local visitors. Both the Lion & Safari Park and the Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve have long been favourites on the family outing list and this joint offer is set to make winter break plans a lot easier, and a lot wilder.
Bookings are now open via both parks’ websites. The deal runs until 31 July, and with limited availability expected due to its popularity, early booking is advised.
So, if you’re looking for a fresh way to spend time with your loved ones this school holiday, don’t miss out on the Ultimate Safari Duo – a thrilling, wallet-friendly way to explore some of Gauteng’s most majestic landscapes and creatures.
