Picnics are commonplace at these events which run fortnightly throughout spring at the Walter Sisulu Botanical gardens In Johannesburg.
The spring concerts include entertainment by The South African National Ceremonial Guard directed by Major Andrew Strugnell. They will be performing music from around the world at the at the "Arrival of Spring" concert on Sunday the 30th August. The renowned international singer and composer Peter Sarstedt will feature with various supporting acts performing pop and folk hits on Sunday the 13th of September and on Sunday the 27th of September will be a "Top of the Pops" concert featuring Pop Idol Veronique Lalouette.
Louw says, "We realised that the Spring Concerts were a perfect setting for our new picnic hampers to be enjoyed and that the gardens capture everything about spring that is important for Interflora during this season - excitement, renewal, good friends, good food and great music."
