BYD Electrifies The Weekend With Mega Electric Day Deals
Written by: The Platinum Club Save to Instapaper
This Saturday, 8 November 2025, BYD is set to host its Mega Electric Day, taking place at dealerships across the country.
The new energy vehicle giant will give South African consumers an exclusive “sneak peek” at BYD’s new plug-in hybrid SUV Sealion 5, which is set to launch later this month. The highly-anticipated new model will join the popular Dolphin and Seal models in the Ocean range.
Customers will also be able to enjoy test drives, entertainment, family-friendly activities, and special event-only offers on BYD’s award-winning electric vehicles. Customers who order selected BYD models on the day will receive discounts of up to R30,000, while five lucky test drivers will win exclusive experiences valued at over R20,000 each.
The Mega Electric Day gives South Africans the opportunity to experience BYD’s world-leading electric vehicle technology first-hand, from intelligent design to impressive performance and range, while learning more about the brand that’s redefining mobility worldwide.
The Sealion 5, launching locally this November, combines long-range plug-in-hybrid capability with family-focused practicality and features such as a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, wireless charging, intelligent voice control, and a large infotainment display. Built for urban families and designed to be a volume driver in BYD’s local line-up, it reflects the company’s belief that advanced technology should be both accessible and functional.
Full specifications and pricing will be revealed this month.
